In the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) were stable to soft this week, while prices in the East Mediterranean (East Med) countries
softened, following lower offers from GCC origin suppliers.
In India, the recent price protection scheme and price decreases announced by local producers have dampened the overall market sentiment. Some GCC
suppliers offered material at lower price levels while others were unwilling to give discounts. HDPE film was less available in the market than other grades
In Pakistan, despite an improvement in LCs processing, market sentiment was overall bearish. The recent political crisis and protests in the country has led to strong local currency fluctuation against the US dollar, weakening buyers appetite during the week.
